Mike's Magick Circle

So, I finally decided to give in to the tide of modernity and start casting out my thoughts into the aethyr. As if I wasnt already busy enough!But Ive been thinking for a while now, it might be useful to have an online record of my magical to-ings and fro-ings, as my thought-stream flows so quickly I am finding it well nigh impossible to swim against the current and reclaim thoughts I had just a few days ago.

This results in months later, when what should have been obvious comes rapidly to the foreground, and here I am banging my head going "Oh why oh why did I not see that coming?"'cuz had I written it down, then came back to it in a moment of objectivity, MAYBE i could have see the pattern emerging. Its so much easier to do when you aren't immersed in it.

Anyways, I intend to include everything in here I would my normal Magical Journal. That means everything is fair game: Dreams, Synchronicities, Omens, Inspirations, Obsessions, Voces Magicae, Enochian Invocation, experiments with the Spasmatrix/Dreamtongue,....as well as mundane experiences, people I meet, family, friends, lovers, everyone.

Because Magick is not bound to just the moments between the commencement of ritual and its end. Magick is, I have found, the profound experience of Soul shining through the Manifest realm.This world is an illusion, after all, and we who are Magi are illusionists. We play with illusion (Maya) the way a child plays with sand castles. So the point is not to become too fixated on things and events, too caught up in making "something happen", for it is impermanent and won't last forever.

All this world is a vast mystery revealing itself through us, so that through each other we may see how we are part of it. It does not exist for us, we exist for it.

When we realize this then the small ego and the BIG COSMIC mind blend into each other, and True Magick happens,...not because we willed it to be, but because our will and the will of the Divine [for that moment] were one. When we unite with the mystery we become the mystery and it becomes us. In that way we partake of the transcendent.

Knowing this, I still succumb to the desire to figure out how the story's gonna go. But each time I think I know how the story's going, thats when it changes! LoL! So, I really dont know if writing this all down is going to help or not. In fact it may even make it more chaotic.

I mean, the more changes I am aware of, the more this will feedback and create more interference, thus more change.

Oh well....if we are all made in the image of the Creator, with the power to create worlds into being, then maybe its inevitable that karma will result. I mean, we can't NOT create, can we. We are doomed to create something. So we may as well make it a good thing.

So long as I strive with purity of intent then I am protected by virtue. What will be shall be, and I am as much a part of the Wheel of Karma as anyone else. This is something I have learned all too well...that although I may see whats coming, I still cannot change it. But as all good actors cannot change their lines, but are able to throw themselves into their roles, making them wholly theirs, so must I. Even though the script isnt finished, I will write the story as it unfolds, and together we may discover,....what happens next....????
